Losing family and friends to suicide in Guyana and Canada ILLA Streight had to meditate on the idea for a prevention song long before he recorded or even wrote one for that matter. Believing a person has no right to take their own life because it is a privilege to be alive, he wanted to express this thought into what he does best, create music with a message. WestNyle blessed ILLA with this heart felt beat which he remixed from an ol’ school classic. Although being in Canada at the time “Think about it” was recorded ILLA Streight networking with connections from his native homeland presented him the opportunity to have his music / video played on a local show there. Guyana has the highest suicide rate in the world as of recent years and ILLA knowing this couldn't let that continue without bringing awareness to it. Look, listen and learn from this inspirational song and share the message. “Choose life not suicide”
